Rexona Adventure Run 2011

The 4th Runrio Series manila 2011 will be held on July 24, 2011 at Mall of Asia. Boasting of 4 race categories 3k, 5k 10k and 21k.

Online registration period is from June 8, 2011 to July 3, 2011 only. Delivery of race kits will start on June 17, 2011.

Important Reminders

• Registration may end earlier than announced deadline therefore; race kits may run out before July 10, 2011.
• A valid ID must be presented upon registration. For group registration, a photocopy of any valid ID must be presented by the representative.
• Singlet size availability will be on a first come first served basis.
• A disposable timing device will be used by all participants during the race.
• Medals and Finisher’s shirt will be given to all 21km finishers only.
• Finisher’s kits will be given upon finishing the race.

Adidas Free Run Headstarts King Of The Road '11

25 May 2011, Manila – The much-anticipated adidas King of the Road (KOTR) happening on October 23 at the Bonifacio Global City launches an early-bird registration promo entitled Free Run from June 1-14. Regular registration follows from June 15 to August 31.

From June 1-14 (while race slots last), the Free Run promo opens to a lucky limited number of participants who will receive a guaranteed race entry. Registration is free for every purchase of P7K worth of adidas running products while registration is at 50% off for every purchase of P5K worth of adidas running products. The Free Run promo participants will also enjoy the convenience of having their singlets and race kits couriered to their doorstep at no extra charge.

There will be a limited number of 100 slots per outlet. Registration is done manually in the ff outlets: adidas in 1) Alabang Town Center 2) Gateway Mall 3) Glorietta 3 4) Greenbelt 3 5) Greenhills 6) Newport Mall 7) Powerplant Mall 8) Robinsons Place Ermita 9) SM MOA 10) SM North Edsa 11) Shangri-La 12) TriNoma, 13) RUNNR Bonifacio Global City, and 14) RUNNR TriNoma. From June 15- August 31 (while race slots last), regular registration follows, which is done online via the official KOTR website: www.adidaskingoftheroad.com. Participants registered online will receive their singlets and race kits at the KOTR 2011 Kick-Off Assembly on October 10-12 at the NBC Tent, Bonifacio Global City.

Held in five countries across the region, the adidas KOTR will culminate in an ultimate championship race in its first ever host country, the Philippines, on October 23, at the Bonifacio Global City. Event categories and race fees are Php1, 050.00 for 5km, Php1,300.00 for 16.8km, and Php1,050 for 21k.

Rebuilding Stage

As I browse through my records I came to a surprise to know that my mileage are not going well nowadays. My april month record was measly 68km which is just good for a weekly mileage for me sometime ago. I also discovered that the last race I joined was the 2nd qc marathon last december 5, 2010 and the rexona run of august 1, 2010, being my last 21km race.

The month of may came and I logged 117km. Due to the races that I joined and some training runs, I was able to jack-up my runs and increased my mileage. In addition, I always run with xty as she trains for her 2nd full marathon. Doing some coaching and pacing, duh! And we already did two half-marathons and counting.

Now, as the calendar slowly tears out its pages, I'm happy to be back running. Seeing friends at the races inspired me to join some again. I missed a lot, but those are just the races. The passion is still alive. The record indicates that I'm slowly getting into it again, I mean the mileage, and hopefully to be at the starting line again of full marathons and ultramarathons.
