PAF 66th Anniversary Run

Together with my running friends and bloggers we were invited by the Philippine Air Force to a Bloggers Night for the launch of the PAF Takbo Para Sa Karunungan Kinabukasan Ng Kabataan 2013. This event coincides with the celebration of their 66th Anniversary.

Upon arrival at the venue, we found ourselves at the the Aircraft Park, an aicraft-themed park that displays historic PAF aircrafts and a good venue for photography activities. A group hug followed after everyone of us toured each of the aircraft on display.

We were then guided inside the Philippine Air Force Aerospace Museum for the tour of the Heritage Section and the Science and Technology Section. The first presents galleries reminiscent of memorabilia from the past while the latter exhibits aircraft mock-ups from various eras including experimental projects of PAF.

Upon registration, runners will receive a singlet and the race kit. All finishers will receive finisher's medal. Proceeds of the event will go to the families of deceased and incapacitated soldiers for the education of their children.

The organizers prepared activities to watch out for like confetti drops and static displays of their equipment from the 505th SRG, PIO, 7th SPOW and AFRDC. So join us, and let's all run for  cause.

Below are the details of the event.

The Philippine Air Force Aerospace Museum is a military museum of the AFP that was earlier founded as Marcos Museum on May 02, 1974. This world-class facility of the PAF is a heritage and a science and technology museum built to honor heroes and airmen of the PAF. The museum displays Philippine military aviation history and related aerospace science exhibits.
